Administrative Assistant (Level 2)
Land and Chemicals Division

Under the direction of the monitor in the Land and Chemicals Division, the SEE enrollee performs administrative duties related to answering the phone, set up meetings, filing and data input to support the LCD’s overall mission.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and serve as Materials Management Branch receptionist. (10%)
  • Set up meetings for the Branch and reserve meeting rooms, conference call lines, assist in registration, create attendee lists and other materials, and provide on-site administrative assistance during meetings. (15%)
  • Type and/or review and edit correspondence and special project reports to conform with agency guidelines. (10%)
  • Maintain correspondence and other administrative files and assist the branch in meeting records management requirements. (10%)
  • Prepare travel arrangements and review travel documents pursuant to agency travel policies. (15%)
  • Develop and maintain travel and training records, including creating and submitting forms following standard procedures. (15%)
  • Perform data entry on projects. (15%)
  • Other duties as assigned. (10%)

Qualifications:

  • 55 years of age or older
  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years of Office administration experience
  • Must have organizational skills
  • Skill in typing and computer word process and operating general office equipment
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff member at all levels
  • Ability to operate copy machine, Fax Machine, Scanner and Multiple Phone Lines
  • Experience with data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
