Administrative Assistant (Level 2)
Superfund/Immediate Office

Under the direction of a monitor, the SEE enrollee assists Immediate Office support by responding, monitoring, tracking, organizing, developing, compiling, arranging, following up on, coordinating and reporting duty assignments.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Receive/direct calls and handle requests for information. (35%)
  • Prepare correspondence for signature and distribution. (5%)
  • Receive and distribute mail and other printed materials. Filing. (15%)
  • Copy and distribute reports, correspondence and other documents. (10%)
  • Other duties as assigned – scheduling conference rooms on computer and fax documents. (35%)

Qualifications:

  • 55 years of age or older
  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of 5 years of general office administrative/clerical experience
  • Must have organizational skills
  • Skill in typing and computer word process and operating general office equipment
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff member at all levels
  • Ability to operate copy machine, Fax Machine, Scanner and Multiple Phone Lines
  • Efficient in Windows, Word and Excel
