The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) has engaged in a study that examines Asian American and Pacific Islander American older adults’ life experiences, including various topics related to elder mistreatment. This report focuses on elder mistreatment experiences, perceptions, and help-seeking behaviors of AAPI older adults who participate in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) at NAPCA program sites. As the only federally funded employment and training program, the goal of SCSEP is to help low-income unemployed older adults aged 55 and older to enhance their work skills so that they can achieve economic self-sufficiency through employment and community services.
