The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) is seeking candidates 55 years of age and older for the position of ERB Administrative Assistant with the U.S. EPA Senior Environmental Employment Program (SEE).


This position offers a hybrid schedule of in-person and telework.


Program Requirements (MUST meet ALL three minimums listed below):
  • 55 years of age or older (in accordance with Public Law 98-313 and the Older American Workers Act). For more information: Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program | US EPA

  • a US citizen

  • eligible to work in the US.


Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in data management and preparing reports.


General Summary:

Under the direction of a Superfund Division monitors, the SEE enrollee will assist the Emergency Response Branch with day-to-day database entry, reporting, and analyses. SEE enrollee will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting and displaying various data for regular and special reports/updates. SEE enrollee is expected to perform independently and frequently respond to high priority, time sensitive requests with fast turnarounds.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide database management support for emergency response and associated programs in a variety of databases including but are not limited to Web Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Emergency Management - Field Readiness Portal, Removal Track, SEMS (EPA Superfund record center), etc. Work with databases and software programs independently with minimal oversight. software programs utilized will include Word, Excel, Share Point, Teams, Microsoft Power Platform, etc.

  • Provide technical assistance to the R5 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Manager. Assist with deploying and tracking EPA personnel during emergency activation periods.

  • Assist with administrative tasks associated with deployments and general day-to-day operations.

  • Provide technical assistance to the R5 Response Support Corp (RSC) Coordinator. Assist with routine and special data pulls as

    requested and assist with deploying and tracking RSC personnel during emergency activation periods.

  • Other duties as assigned including independent projects tailored to individual strengths.
