Records Management Specialist

General Summary

Work with the ECAD Records Team and Regional Records Team to maintain knowledge of program protocols, regional protocols, records management, and electronic records software (Versatile).


Qualifications:
  • 55 years of age and older (in accordance with Public Law 98-313 and the Older American Workers Act)

  • a US citizen

  • be eligible to work in the US

  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative duties or file clerk


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work with staff to complete ongoing records management tasks.

  • Create new files, labels, and updates Versatile.

  • Researching old or unknown files utilizing logs, Versatile and Subject Matter Experts.

  • Develop and maintain inventory and file plan for the applicable program.

  • File in EPA's central records center or high density-file room.

  • Assess and provide recommendations for maintaining records within the identified file room space.

  • Provides technical expertise and support to staff on records management.

  • Maintain current program files. Archive files and maintain Versatile (records inventory) data.

  • Research FOIA requests and provides input to FOIA responder. Processing FOIA requests, scanning copies, email and etc and uploading to FOIA online web system.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is in support of a Federally funded Employment Program with a defined hourly rate

Pay: $21.30 per hour
