General Summary

This position supports the EPA Region 10 Laboratory Field Team with technical functions including field sampling, sample preparation, data management, and equipment maintenance and calibration.

Qualifications:

• 55 years of age and older (in accordance with Public Law 98-313 and the Older American Workers Act)

• a US citizen

• be eligible to work in the US

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in field sampling or BA/BS in Science

  
  

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with collecting of environmental samples (air, water, soil) and deploy monitoring equipment in the field.

• Assist with recording and organizing technical data, update databases and help draft summary reports.

• Help maintain check calibration, install and troubleshoot environmental monitoring instruments.

• Assist with incremental sampling methodology sample preparation including drying, sieving.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is in support of a Federally funded Employment Program with a defined hourly rate
